Here are some similar images that have the same concept of revealing some thing different onto the picture frame, I have combined them together because they are very alike and my inspiration was from all of them. The above image uses a picture frame that doesn't have a typical picture we would usually see but has a skeleton and scary face, the man within the image is topless but it has colour but the the one within the frame is in black and white. the image almost reminds me of an x-ray.
However, this image is quiet different because although the model holds a picture frame, the only thing we see is the back side if the model. This is very interesting because it looks so real due to the way that it has been done, there are no flaws present within the image. The front side of the model and the back connect. I think the model is refusing to show their face to hide their identity, they are not wearing any clothes to reflect any form of their cultural identity so through the image we only get to know their skin and hair colour. To achieve this I could take a front picture of the model holding the picture frame and then a back head shot but make sure that the distance is the same and then photoshop the head within the picture frame leaving the thumb to make it look more realistic.
This beautiful image is from Evgeniy Jam and he work is outstanding he captures glamour, fashion, wedding and commercial things but this image caught my attention the most because of the positioning of the picture. the model looks like she is trying to escape from the picture frame and this could mean that she is trying to escape the 'ultimate image' that society have set that she feels like she doesn't fit. Her facial expressions look like she is tired and exhausted.
The photoshoot for these final outcomes are found here. My aim for this photo-shoot was for it to be focused and sharp for the message to come across very effectively and in order to do this, I used a white backdrop for the outcome to be simple and not busy with may different colours and objects as the main subject is the model. I got my model to feel openly upset about something that may be sensitive and by using emotional music in the background; it has helped me to bring out the emotional side of my model. However, before getting her to feel touching and saddened I used an empty picture frame that she holds against her face as it to show that it is a picture of how she wants to be preserved. Within that picture she is shown to be extremely happy, not showing any side of how she really felt or who she really was. However, to bring my message across, I used her real self-image that was hidden to the world to be the one behind the picture frame. This demonstrates how in order to reach the standard society has set, we may not be able to confidently express our identity or culture and this has led to us feeling upset and destroyed.
